I noted with interest the announcement that our President accepted the endorsement of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) that he runs for vice president in May 2022.
The decision to run assures the continuity of landmark projects and programs that, for the last five years, has made an impact, and continues to meaningfully impact, the lives of people, including us in Cebu City
Among these is the Build-Build-Build that has facilitated many infrastructure projects, the comprehensive initiative against illegal drugs that has now seen many people going through rehabilitation and recovery, the management of the CoViD-19 pandemic, and the mass vaccination program.
Although the President has repeatedly said he is tired and longs to go back to the days where he was only Citizen Digong, the President’s presence and continued participation in government is necessary to ensure economic development and recovery.
Thank you for your willingness towards continued sacrifice, Mr. President. You have and will continue to have our support.
