*UPDATES ON POWER:*
As of yesterday, December 27, VECO has already breached the 100 MW output level, delivering 115.78 MW to 107,939 households/customers in its franchise area. This is an additional 26,279 households/customers being reenergized for yesterday alone. VECO has likewise restored 288 (52.9%) of the 544 power line segments in its area, restoring power already to 22.76% of its total customer base, well on track to their committed schedule of reenergizing 30% or 142T households/customers by Friday this week, December 31.
*UPDATES ON WATER:*
As of yesterday, December 27, MCWD has already partially restored water supply to 79 barangays (47%) out of the total 168 barangays in its coverage area, delivering 133,300 cubic meters a day to at least 120,000 households/customers. This 133,300 cubic meters a day output as of yesterday is already 55.6% of its total normal output of 240,000 cubic meters a day prior to the typhoon.
*UPDATES ON TELCO:*
PLDT/Smart has already Fully Restored telco services to 18 municipalities/towns in Provincial Cebu, while also having Partially Restored telco services to 28 cities/municipalities/towns in Cebu, including the 3 Highly-Urbanized Cities of Cebu City, Mandaue City and LapuLapu City where telco services have only been partially restored. As of yesterday, December 27, in the entire Cebu, Smart Wireless 4G services have been 59% restored, 3G services have been 68% restored, and 2G services have been 78% restored. Similarly, PLDT Wired FTTH services have been 87% restored while DSL services have only been 37% restored. Globe Telecom is likewise expediting repair and reconnection work on their telco services in Cebu.
*UPDATES ON LGUs:*
The Department of Trade and Industry – Region 7 has issued warnings to erring establishments who were found violating the price freeze on essential goods that was recently imposed by the department on all private establishments after the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette. Similarly, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has already released to the Region 7 LGUs the initial P1.0-billion in financial assistance recently approved by the President.

As Cebu ended Day 11 last night and enters Day 12 today since the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette in the evening of December 16, the valiant heroes in our communities – from the dedicated linemen and technical teams sacrificing so much every day for all of us, to the selfless leaders of our Cebu LGUs who remain courageous and undeterred by the enormity of the daunting challenges facing them – they all continue to remain hard at work, unwavering in their mission to help Cebu rise back again from this disaster. In behalf of all Cebuanos, we extend our deepest gratitude to all of them as well as to countless Cebuanos in our neighborhoods who have also continued to hold their heads up high, keeping calm and carrying on, never faltering to do their part in helping restore and rebuild our communities. All of them are the true heroes and warriors who continue to lead Cebu in this battle. Their indomitable and determined spirit is the foundation and the unrelenting driving force moving our beloved Cebu forward.
