After much debate on whether BRT or LRT is better for Cebu, the Cebuanos got an early Christmas gift by having both mass transit systems approved thanks to the efforts of Sec. Mike Dino (Presidential Assistant) and Sec Art Tugade (Transportation). The Metro Cebu Integrated and Intermodal Transportation System as envisioned by OPAV and DOTr will connect not only Pardo to Talamban but Danao to Carcar, with a monorail component to the airport. As Cebuanos, let us stop bickering and unite behind this laudable project that will help improve our worsening traffic situation.
